NOTICE TO BIDDERS GALVESTON BAY OYSTER REEF RESTORATION The Nature Conservancy (TNC) will receive bids via their Engineer, HDR Engineering, Inc. (HDR), for the GALVESTON BAY OYSTER REEF RESTORATION project until 3:00 p.m. on February 20, 2020 via the U.S. Postal Service or hand/express mail. Bids shall be addressed to HDR Engineering, Inc at their office located at 555 N. Carancahua Street, Suite 1600, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401 and to the attention of Mr. Cameron Perry. All Bid submissions shall include the bid opening date/time (February 20, 2020, 3:00 p.m.), and the words, “BID ENCLOSED - GALVESTON BAY OYSTER REEF RESTORATION” on the sealed envelope. The project is located within the northern portion of Galveston Bay, Texas in the vicinity of Trinity Bay. Work includes construction of two types of oyster reef structure using graded riprap to create up to a 50 acre reef complex. Reef structures include linear rows of reef using graded riprap and reef mound structures using small stone. Buoys to delineate the reef areas will also be installed. This project is being funded in whole or in part by financial assistance provided to TNC from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through its Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund via NFWF Project Funding Agreement 49989, dated effective January 1, 2016, for the project entitled “Galveston Bay Sustainable Oyster Reef Restoration (TX) (“Funding Award”), along with Project assistance and support from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Galveston Bay Foundation. All qualified Bidders will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status or disability. A pre-bid conference will be held at HDR offices in Houston, Texas (4828 Loop Central Drive, Suite 800, Houston, TX 77081) on January 24, 2020 at 10:00 am. Attendance is highly recommended.
