Construction work, in general, consists of a 4 million gallon (MG) recessed concrete reservoir, pump station, equipping and connecting a previously drilled well (Town Well 30 along Val Vista Drive south of Germann Rd) and completing the connection of a second well (existing Town Well 29 at 156th Street and Willis Road) to the Project reservoir. Well 29 has existing piping to the reservoir site and uses this area for flush to waste retention in order to meet EPA Nitrate MCL levels. The Project components include but are not limited to; recessed concrete reservoir, integral pump station, discharge manifold, valves, pressure gauges, flow meter, enclosed chlorination system with a fixed speed pump and a discharge manifold capable of feeding chlorine to multiple points, air conditioned electrical enclosure with redundant A/C systems housing electrical and PLC equipment, well equipping and booster discharge piping, surge anticipator valving, reservoir mixing, TTHM monitoring, adjustable system backfill capabilities with control valve, TTHM stripping capabilities for backfill water, Nitrate monitoring at Well 30 and the reservoir, VFD driven discharge pumps, reservoir recirculation pump, sun screening for the chlorine building and all instrumentation, Allen Bradley PLC, facilities control descriptions and SCADA design; and other incidental work.
