8.370 Miles of Pavement Perservation and Shoulder Rehabilitation on Sr 105 Beginning West of Sr 184 and Extending East of Sr 15. Full pattern pavement markings in conformance with Section 3A and 3B, except 3B.02, of the MUTCD are required on all courses before the roadway is opened to traffic, unless noted in this section. No passing zones shall be marked to conform to Subsection 150.3.10.D.1.b.. During construction and maintenance activities on all highways open to traffic, both existing markings and markings applied under this Section shall be fully maintained until Final Acceptance. If the pavement markings are, or become, unsatisfactory in the judgment of the Engineer due to wear, weathering, or construction activities, they shall be restored immediately. Pavement markings shall be provided on all surfaces that are placed over existing markings. Interim and final markings shall conform in type and location to the markings that existed prior to resurfacing unless changes or additions are noted in the Contract. The replacement of parking spaces will not be required unless a specific item or note has been included in the Contract. Any work to make additions to the markings that existed prior to resurfacing is to be considered as extra work. If the lane configuration is altered from the preconstruction layout then pavement markings will be as required by the plans or the Engineer. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
