The City of Hickory is soliciting proposals for the services of a firm/team for the contract scope of work which include complete design drawings and bid package for the project, along with all plats and documents required for right of way acquisition for the following: 1. Preliminary Engineering and Design of a multi-use path along 9 th Street NW from City Walk to Old Lenoir Road. The project starts at the intersection of Main Avenue NW and 9th Street NW and proceeds north along 9th Street NW to Old Lenoir Road. The project is approximately 0.3 miles in length and is critical to completing a full east-west, north-south corridor improvement project. 2. Preliminary Engineering and Design of a multi-use path along Old Lenoir Road from 9th Street NW to City-owned property near the end of Old Lenoir Road (Riverwalk). The project begins at the intersection of 9th Street NW and Old Lenoir Road and proceeds along Old Lenoir Road to 12th Avenue, NW (Geitner Road) and continues along Old Lenoir Road to City-owned property just past the Hickory Water Treatment Plant (Riverwalk). The project is approximately 2.0 miles in length and adding this extension, along with the 9 th Street project, will create a connector from The City of Hickory City Walk to Riverwalk projects.
