Amawalk Water Treatment Plant 2548 Route 35 Amawalk, NY 10501
To repave approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of the Amawalk water treatment plant driveway and parking area with a 2” topcoat. This area includes approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of “new pavement” which will consist of soil removal, compaction, placement of 6” compacted item #4 (NYS Dot Spec) , 4” of binder along with 2” topcoat to meet all other paving elevations . Additionally there is 130 feet of asphalt curb to be included. All seams, joints, and perforations are also to be sealed with appropriate pavement sealing compound. Any section to meet with existing pavement shall have a 3’ wide saw cut strip to allow for proper grade integration. Included in this project is the removal of a single fire hydrant located in the pavement expansion area. The valve along with the corresponding tee is to be removed and replaced with a section of class 54 ductile iron cement lined pipe utilizing 2 hymax grip repair couplings (or TPS Equivalent) Pipe size is believed to be 4”( but may be 6”). Additionally guardrail located at driveway 4 way intersection needs posts straightened/reset and rail re-attached with new hardware. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
