The City of Roswell Council, the governing authority of the City of Roswell, Georgia (“the City”), is requesting offers for the Construction of a 20' driveway with curb and gutter between the Aquatic Center parking lot and the Adult Recreation Center parking lot. The Project also includes Sidewalk connectivity (taken out by this project between the two parks) restoration and maintaining access to the tennis court and pickleball court facilities. A retaining wall is needed along the sidewalk and tennis court side. A bioretention area will be built to meet the stormwater needs of this project as required by the City's Land Disturbance Permit. The bioretention area will treat the water from the roof of the Adult Recreation Center. Access between Groveway Community Park and Grimes Bridge Park allows for emergency services to access either parks more easily as well as residents. Project elements include but are not limited to Grading; Concrete sidewalk and retaining wall, and creation of a bioretention area, along with other related heavy construction items.A Bid Bond equal to 5% of the base bid will be required. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required, and Liquidated Damages have been set at $300 per day in excess of the allotted time. Payment will be made no more than monthly, on a unit price / installed basis. The City of Roswell reserves the right to reject any or all offers, to award a contract in the best interest of the City and to waive technicalities and informalities. One Hundred and Twenty (120) calendar days have been set aside for the entire project. “Days”, means calendar days to complete after issuance of the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages have been set at $300 per day over the number of days set aside for the project.
