The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit competitive proposals to implement digital public information display signs that have the capability of integrating with, and displaying, the Asheville Rides Transit (ART) real-time transit arrival information to passengers using the Downtown Transit Center. The digital display signage and associated technology, such as audible announcements for visually impaired riders, must integrate with the ART system’s current AVL/CAD system, but shall also be able to consume GTFS data in the event ART’s AVL/CAD system changes in the future. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
