Sealed bids for the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Installation Project. The Contractor shall supply and install ten (10) generator automatic transfer switches (ATS) for existing generators at the lift station listed below. The purpose for the ATS is to provide automatic generator start during power outages at city lift stations to prevent sewer spills. The ATS must transfer electric power back to utility automatically when utility power is restored and shut the generator down. ATS units will be installed at existing lift stations with diesel generators currently utilizing manual transfer switches. Existing receptacles, emergency breakers, or external switches will remain in the event a portable generator is needed at these locations. Contractor shall provide concrete pads or racks where required. Installations will include conduit and suitable copper wiring between, utility disconnect, genset to ATS, and customer control panel. Contractor shall obtain any required permits and include costs in bid. Contractor shall configure generator controller and ATS for automatic switch operation. Each Bid must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid. The Bid Security must be in the form of Bid Bond or certified check. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) business days after the scheduled time for receiving the bids.
