Owner Reference: QR 20-PW05

Bid Date: 02/24/2020 at 05:00pm

Provide all labor and equipment to open existing equestrian trails in the Birmingham Park. Work includes the removal of trees, tree roots, tree stumps and trimming, cutting and mulching understory for an average 60-inch to 72- inch trail tread width and a clearing height of 11 feet (see attached Standard Trail Plan detail). All vegetation within the limits of the Trail Width must be cut and mulched to ground level. . Trails are already in place but many lack the necessary width to accommodate two horses and riders to pass. For tree roots within the tread width that are above natural ground and if they are outside the tree’s drip line, Contractor is to remove (or grind) root from trail path and back fill hole as needed for level surface to eliminate trip hazard. Areas that are disturbed by the Contractor’s equipment or have been disturbed in the process of dropping and cutting up a tree should be raked smooth and covered. Care shall be taken to ensure no materials or sediment are deposited in any waterways or drainage ways. When working within 50 feet of a drainage or waterway, all waste material must be removed and deposited in less sensitive areas.
