The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following: The project is located at 445 West Pike Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia. The proposed site is currently an unoccupied convenience store and gas station. The property has two (2) separate curb cuts to the project site from GA Highway 120. The existing convenience store is a conventional structural steel and masonry structure with a low slope roof and slab on grade construction. This building is scheduled to be demolished as part of this project, including the concrete slab on grade and foundations. The fueling equipment, canopy, tanks, and piping will remain intact and cannot be disturbed during the demolition phase of the project. The proposed new equipment building is a single story, load bearing masonry structure with brick veneer and a slab on grade construction. The roof structure will be engineered wood trusses with structural wood decking and an asphalt shingle roof covering. The size of the new building will be approximately 186 square feet and will be used to house new fueling station control equipment. This fueling station control equipment is not included in the general contractor’s scope for this project. However, coordination with Owner vendors will be required. Site development will include both selective demolition and new work, including selective demolition of asphalt paving, concrete paving, and curb and gutter. New site development work will include installation of utilities, storm water piping and structures, electric, natural gas supply piping for an emergency back-up generator (to be priced as an alternate to the base bid), asphalt paving, concrete paving, concrete curb and gutter, grading, landscaping, chain link fencing, and erosion control measures. A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
