Colquitt County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the painting and repairs at the Colquitt County Courthouse. Set up OSHA COMPLIANT safety barriers and staging areas for lowering debris and hoisting materials. Maintain an employee on sight that is an OSHA compliant safety supervisor/coordinator. Scrape all areas to remove all scaling or loose paint to provide a smooth clean surface. All areas will receive one premium coat of primer and two coats of a premium exterior paint. All fillers and caulk will be a non-shrinking paintable material. Replace any rotten wood with same profile and quality as existing wood in good shape. All replacement wood will be primed on all edges before installation, to protect from moisture. Reference Exhibit 1-Replace rotten fascia, prime and paint. Replace any rusted through eave metal with new matching profile and quality metal, seal all seams. Secure any loose wood by nailing with recommended nails. Install new bird screen where needed. Repair or replace any damaged louvers or trim. Repair or replace any damaged roof panels. Caulk all cracks with a premium non-shrinking, paintable material. Power scrub all metal surfaces and base with muriatic acid thus etching the surface for maximum bonding prior to new coatings. (All metal roofing and components) Seal all breaks in metal skin by means of soldering and rubber sealants to render water-tight areas. (All metal roofing and components) Apply two application of silver coating on roof to match existing color. All cleanup is the responsibility of the contractor, all paint debris and materials must be removed daily and kept in a neat manner, complete area should be free of debris and paint materials on final cleanup, all areas should be back to original clean condition at the end of the project.
