Cobb County Magistrate Court, Courtroom M202 32 Waddell Street, 2nd Floor Marietta, GA 30090

The Vendor shall provide all audio, video, and automation hardware and software for this design. This project involves the removal of existing systems including racked equipment and old components from the courtroom. The County is providing a preferred system design and equipment list; however, the vendor is responsible for end design and equipment selection. Subject room design will vary due to size and case usage. The design shall not include components that are proprietary to the Vendor (invented or manufactured by the Vendor). The Vendor shall provide documentation of all hardware, component placement, and wiring in the form of “as-built” drawings at the completion of the installation. The County shall provide electrical service; however, the Vendor will need to utilize existing infrastructure (conduits to and from the electrical closet where the head end rack will be located). The new equipment shall be guaranteed for a period of three (3) years from the date of acceptance or first beneficial use, whichever is first, against defective materials, design, workmanship and improper adjustment. Any defective material shall be replaced at no expense to the County, provided it does not show abuse. This guarantee shall cover only new equipment installed as part of this contract, excluding lamp bulbs and expendable supplies. The Vendor shall verify all site conditions prior to installation and coordinate work with the County Project Manager to assure a timely installation. The Vendor shall furnish, install, and deliver all materials required to make the system complete and of professional quality, including any miscellaneous hardware, interfaces or small connector items necessary for proper operation, but not specifically mentioned. The Vendor shall train County-designated personnel as to the proper operation of all components of the system. These specifications, along with the related drawings and general conditions of the contract, will comprise the proposed requirements for the AV Systems. In 2018, the County renovated several courtrooms and installed new audio/visual technology in each one. The goal is to standardize future courtrooms with similar equipment and technologies. Below are the equipment lists that were used for each courtroom; lists that should be used as a guideline for your design submission. In addition to the equipment listed, please include recommendations for the following: A new document camera system (Elmo or Wolf Vision). Additional microphone array systems to cover the entire well. Handheld wireless microphone system for jury paneling. Outputs for Court Audio Recording System (VoiceIQ System will be used in at least one of the courtrooms). The exact quantities of equipment, interfaces, transformers and connector adapters are the responsibility of the Vendor. Not every connector, adapter, and wire assembly is itemized here. Cable length requirements are not shown. The Vendor shall be responsible for determining cable lengths from the pre-proposal site visit. It is the responsibility of the Vendor to verify each item and to bring to the attention of the County any deviations or omissions of equipment so that these may be resolved before any equipment is ordered. The Vendor shall provide a complete working system. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
