The CTP Electrical Distribution System Replacement Project will repair, replace, and rehabilitate the entire 15-kilovolt (kV) Medium Voltage (MV) electrical distribution system at the CTP in the City of Tacoma, Washington. The completed project will build over 3,000 lineal feet of concrete encased reinforced duct bank, install over 20 miles of MV feeder cables, construct an approximately 3,400 square foot concrete masonry unit building for protecting and operating the new electrical equipment, and install a new 15-kV switchgear comprised of approximately 40 MV circuit breakers. The Work will take place at a wastewater treatment plant that continuously operates (24 hours per day, 365 day per year). The Work will have to be carefully coordinated to prevent disruptions to plant operation.
