The Port of Houston Authority is seeking professional engineering services for repair options and possible remodel options of the bridge at Spilman Island in Harris County, Texas.The work scope includes design for repair, conceptual design, engineering cost estimation and schedule, constructability assessment, construction phase services, as well as, value engineering of concepts. The scope requires engineering services to address (1) in-detail structural assessment of the bridge, (2) conceptual design solution for (a) repair of the bridge to bring it to its original design capacity, and (b) increasing the bridge capacity for heavy cargo transportation, and (3) the design for the selected concept. The scope also includes but is not limited to preparing construction documents (e.g., drawings, technical specifications, etc.), assisting the preparation of competitive sealed proposals (CSP), competitive sealed bids (CSB), or any other solicitation packages for any Port Houston construction projects, assisting in construction phase services, supporting pre-proposal, pre-construction, and other meetings, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFI), assisting with change orders and preparing the as-built documentations.
