This project will consist of those measures necessary to rehabilitate Emerald Lake Dam to meet the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The measures to be implemented include, but are no limited to, the following items: 1. Reconstructing the existing spillway outlet channel, constructing two concrete chutes within the outlet channel, and adding rock riprap armoring along the downstream toe of the embankment slope; 2. Repair of a slope slide on the downstream embankment slope; 3. Constructing a new auxiliary spillway around the north end of the dam; and 4. Placing a bentonite-soil liner on the upstream slope to reduce seepage into the embankment. The approximate repair quantities are: 10,000 cubic yards of excavation; 15,000 cubic yards of earth-fill, 150 cubic yards of concrete; 21,500 square yards of topsoil, 1,100 tons of rock riprap; 6,900 square yards of bentonite-soil liner; 200 feet of sediment fence, and 6 acres of re-vegetation. Bonds required.
