Fayette County, Georgia is seeking bids for #1781-B: Fayette County Resurfacing Program – FY 2019. Maintenance Resurfacing project on Sandy Creek Road between Ellison Road and Coastline Road Street in Fayette County, Georgia should pave up to 6.25 feet from the centerline of track for asphalt railroad crossing surfaces or pave up to the railroad precast concrete panels for railroad concrete panel surfaces as per GA STD 9021A. The work will require construction activities within the right of way of the railroad at RR inv. No. 639498T, Milepost No. ANB-838.35. The average train movement through this area is approximately 15 trains per day at typical speeds of 55 mph. There are no passenger trains at this location. You must include a bid bond with your bid, equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Bid bonds shall be provided by a surety which appears on Georgia’s list of approved sureties administered by the State Insurance Commissioner, or the U.S. Treasury's list of approved bond sureties (Circular 570). This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
