This project is located at 4321 Northwest 9th Avenue, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: construction of new backup power generation system and diesel exhaust fluid system, control improvements for high service and transfer pumps, replacement of controls for aqueous ammonia feed, quicklime pneumatic conveyance system, replacement of the plant air system piping, replacement of the diesel engine air start system, replacement of the vacuum priming system, replacement of controls for the washwater recovery system, replacement of controls for the washwater transfer pump station, replacement of the existing plant process controllers. Architectural renovations to the following: operations building, filter building and high service pump station no 2, chemical building, mechanic’s shop and FPL building. Replacement of the public address system, renovations to the freight and passenger elevators, installation of a fire alarm system within multiple existing and proposed buildings, modification of the electrical system, construction of a new disinfection building and construction of a new carbon dioxide system. This project encourages M/WBE participation.
