It is the intent of these specifications to furnish the City of Valdosta with Four (4), brand new, current year model Stationary Industrial Generators. These are minimum specifications and all deviations should be marked. Please return the marked deviations with your proposal to this office. The City of Valdosta will purchase (4) four stationary diesel generators with sound attenuated enclosures and automatic transfer switches. The purpose for the generators is to provide backup power for tank level control and radio/RTU communications for the SCADA system. The Gornto Fire Station pressure point only needs backup power for the RTU panel. All generator proposals submitted for consideration will be NFPA compliant and sized as specified for each location. The operator interface will afford comprehensive monitoring of the genset. Engines will meet tier 3 emissions standards at minimum. The generator sets will be covered by a 1-year warranty at minimum. Gensets shall be of industrial grade and suitable for integration with a wireless monitoring/control system based on VTScada. Suitable engine manufacturers: Cummins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Isuzu, Kubota, Mitsubishi, Perkins, and Yanmar. The engines will be 4-stroke cycle diesel, water-cooled, operate at 1800 RPM, and be capable of continuous use in the event of a long-term power outage. The gensets will be purchased for standby emergency electrical power at (3) three elevated water storage tanks and one water pressure point. Engine service kits IE; filters, belts, and fluids should be readily available from manufacturers other than the OEM if their quality maintains the OEM warranties. Contractor will provide a list of alternate service kit items to buyer and current price. The list will include description, manufacturer name, and part/stock number if available.
