The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Surface preparation and coating of the interior and exterior of the 3.1 million-gallon Groover Mountain Tank. The steel, ground surface water storage tank has dimensions of 100 feet in diameter by 52 feet high. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount.
