Hallinan Elementary School, 16800 Hawthorne Drive, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034
A. Summary Project Description: 1. The existing Hallinan Elementary School is a one-story, 46,310 sf, building with a mechanical mezzanines and a 4,661 sf attached covered play area constructed in 1980. The proposed Hallinan Elementary School Renovation project includes deferred maintenance, voluntary safety and seismic upgrades, accessibility updates and plumbing renovations. Deferred maintenance items include a full roof replacement, replacement of damaged or failing envelope materials, replacement of the existing entry canopy, HVAC repairs, complete masonry envelope replacement, replacement of exterior windows and doors with higher performing frames and safety/security glazing and associated site improvements. Renovations include the removal of unbraced walls and seismically unbraced library loft to be replaced with a newly remodeled library space with a meeting room and office as well as the renovation of a classroom teaching walls. A new building addition is proposed to house a new Maker Space. B. Contract Scope: Construction, demolition, and renovation.
