The scope of work for this project consists of modification and upgrades at existing curb locations along Southloop Road and Pond Road. Major base bid removal work includes: Milling approximately 26,850 total square feet (SF) of the top 2” of existing asphalt paving from curb to curb in Southloop Road roadway from Route 32 to Pond Road, and with minor removal of roadway at curbs. Complete removal of approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing concrete curbing on each side of roadway down to sub-base. Complete removal of approximately 540 square feet of asphalt or concrete walkways and curb cuts, along with removal of sub-base under each at various locations along Southloop Road as shown. Complete removal of approximately 200 square feet of existing topsoil for new concrete curbing and asphalt sidewalks along Southloop Road as shown. Saw-cutting joint between existing concrete curbing and sidewalks (asphalt and concrete). This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
