The Utah DOT is inviting bids to o define the minimum acceptable standards for the installation bid summary is for 12 Wyssen Avalanche Towers to be installed in avalanche paths above the Town of Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The Wyssen Avalanche Tower is a remote avalanche control system that utilizes a deployment box, containing twelve explosive charges, which is mounted on a tower in the avalanche starting zone. The Wyssen Tower will be used to provide avalanche control measures for the upper part of SR210. Bonds will be required. Bid is extended and will be done in stages you must attend the 10/16/19 meeting to take part in any of the stages.
