The proposed addition and renovation addresses accessibility to Library North after the demolition of Library North Plaza and Kell Hall and the creation of a new campus greenway. Library North’s current main entrance is served by the elevated plaza that is to be demolished. This project creates a new entrance from the proposed campus greenway and will include a lobby and means for vertical movement (elevators and stairs) to the second level of the Library. The existing entrance is to be reviewed and renovated to meet building code and ADA compliance requirements. The new exterior landscaping will be required to compliment the campus greenway and the new addition. The anticipated construction completion date would be January 2021. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
