The City of Modesto is inviting bids for all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to provide the following for the Modesto Police Department: 1) Demolish (remove and dispose) interior walls, doors, windows (together with any appurtenances) of two existing offices, located on the 2nd floor, in the NE portion of the building, as shown in the Demo Plan on Sheet 16 of the approved drawings. 2) Abandon in place the floor installed data/voice outlet (2 locations) and patch existing floor depressions to match the existing adjacent floor elevation (refer to Demo Plan on Sheet 16). 3) Remove celling mounted projector/data/voice and abandon wire in place. Replace two existing 24” sq. ceiling tiles with a new 24”x48” ceiling tile to match the existing tiles (paint as needed for an accurate match) – refer to Demo Plan on Sheet 16. 4) Relocate existing date/outlet from the column furring (column located at grid “C” between grid line 3 & 4). 5) Remove portion of the floor carpet tiles, as needed, to receive the new interior stud wall. 6) Remove and rearrange portion of the ceiling tiles, as needed to receive the new interior stud wall. 7) Install new interior stud wall (including extension for the existing column furring and also full height wall at the stairwell), as shown in the Partial Floor Plan on Sheet 16, in accordance with the typical and other details provided in the approved set of drawings (anchor top and bottom as detailed). 8) Install all the backing required to receive the TV mounts (as shown in the details on Sheet 16). Coordinate the location of the TV mounts with MPD personnel. 9) Provide wall insulation and gyp-board on both sides, as shown in the approved drawings. 10) Reconnect ceiling to the new interior wall, as shown in the typical details. 11) Finish interior wall with the texture to match the existing walls and paint walls with paint to match the existing walls and with the color selected by the MPD personnel. 12) Install new (2) - door frames and doors as shown in the approved drawings. Paint with paint and color to match the existing conditions and as directed by the MPD personnel. 13) Install (2) - new voice/data/HDMI and power outlet approx. 24” below ceiling (as shown in the drawings). 14) Install (3) new power outlets as shown in the drawings. 15) Install new exist signs above each door. 16) Install (2) new emergency lights to match the existing lights. 17) Install multilevel switch and vacancy sensor 18) Install new placard that reads “49 OCCUPANTS MAX” above the door 19) All work to be performed in accordance with the current codes (building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) as applicable. Time to complete is 30 working days. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
