Western Placer Waste Management Authority WPMA will receive bids for furnishing all labor, material, tax, transportation, equipment, and services necessary to perform the work. Work consists of construction of a separation liner on the remainder of the unlined area between Modules 5 and 13 from approximately 120 feet above mean sea level (amsl) to 180 feet amsl. A portion of the separation liner was constructed previously during the construction of the Module 5 Base Liner construction project, and will need to be tied into for this project. This includes including removing and replacing soil, and installation of the geosynthetic separation liner system consisting of placing a single sided textured (textured side down) 60-mil high density polyethylene (HDPE) liner over reconstructed Module 13 intermediate cover and then placing 2 feet of Module 5 operations layer over the liner. Construction of the liner includes clearing and grubbing, removing the existing access road from the side slope (including the large and bulky materials used to construct it), grading and preparing the exposed waste and/or soil subgrade, installing subsurface piping and backfilling trenches, placing and compacting the Module 13 intermediate cover and preparing the surface of such to receive liner, placing the liner and anchoring three edges and tying into the existing Module 5 liner, placing Module 5 operations layer, installing a stormwater diversion berm above the new liner and operations soil, and all other associated/ancillary work to complete the Module 5/Module 13 Separation Liner construction project.
