The Work for this project will consist of the construction of approximately 93 linear feet of 24”-inch diameter Cement Mortar Lined and Coated (CML&C) steel pipe for potable water distribution service together with all valves, fire hydrants, and appurtenances and connections to existing systems; abandonment, removal and/or disposal of portions of asbestos cement, steel or ductile iron pipelines; site restoration and reconstruction of existing pavements, concrete gutters, concrete cross gutter, curb and sidewalks, slurry seal, striping and markings, and improvements damaged during construction or ordered for replacement; managing groundwater; and all incidental work necessary for a complete and operable distribution piping system in accordance with the Contract Documents. The site of Work is generally located in the City of Encinitas, California in the County of San Diego, California. Refer to the Drawings for vicinity and project location maps. The successful bidder, simultaneously with execution of the Contract Documents, shall either furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, or equivalent cash or securities in lieu of these bonds in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.710.
