The project scope includes a two-story freestanding hydraulic elevator addition with associated walkway to the North-West corner of the existing English Building on GSW’s campus. The new addition includes an elevator shaft and machine room on the first floor at 171 SF and a concrete sidewalk at approximately 160 SF. The second floor addition includes the elevator shaft at 99 SF and a covered walkway connector at 131 SF. The project scope also includes the elevator package and controls, a dedicated small HVAC unit for the machine room and an associated electrical, and sump pit plumbing per the contract documents. The existing English Building is to be modified on the second floor to remove a pair of existing 2’ 6” doors, frame, and associated hardware, and replace with a new 4’0” wide hollow metal door, frame hardware, and ADA compliance auto-door opener system. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
