The meeting place will be at the Vista Point at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Hwy 35, on Skyline Blvd. at Big Basin Way, Saratoga Gap (lat. 37.258228, long -122.121265).

The California Department of Conservation is inviting bids for all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to provide safe abandonment of four wells. The work consists of the following general tasks; four (4) wells are idle-deserted and hazardous. Per Public Resources Code, Section 3250 et. seq. hazardous idle-deserted oil and gas wells are public nuisances and that it is essential, to protect life, health, and natural resources that such oil and gas wells be plugged and abandoned, reabandoned, produced, or otherwise remedied to mitigate, minimize, or eliminate their danger to life, health, and natural resources. The Department of Conservation (Department), Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (Division) intends to award one (1) service contract from this solicitation to abandon four (4) wells. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
