The Clear Lake City Water Authority is inviting bids for all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to provide moval of existing sanitary sewer manhole within existing driveway, and installation of new sanitary sewer manhole outside of existing driveway. Sanitary sewer within the excavation limits shall be removed and replaced. Proposed slopes and flow lines depend on existing conditions. Contractor shall field verify location and flow line of existing sanitary sewers at proposed points of connection prior to installation. The existing locations and flow lines shall be communicated to the Engineer for the determination of the final proposed elevations and slopes. Installation of new concrete sanitary sewer manholes on existing sanitary sewer and sanitary sewer by trenchless construction, connecting to both new manholes. Contractor shall uncover location of water line prior to installation. Abandonment and grouting of existing sanitary sewer. Removal and replacement of existing concrete including curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways, and other pavement in areas specified in the plans. Contractor shall coordinate construction, including timing and duration of driveway and/or parking lot restrictions, with the Riviera at the Clear Lake Apartment Homes. Control of ground water, as necessary and as directed by Engineer. Control of surface water shall be incidental to the project. Pipe bursting of sanitary sewer lines including service reconnections. The nominal diameter of the existing sanitary sewer is 12-inch and shall be upsized by pipe burst method. The new sanitary sewer shall be high-density polyethylene pipe with a minimum inside diameter of 15-inches and outside diameter of 16-inches. Site restoration including removal and replacement of necessary and/or damaged irrigation lines, turf, plants, shrubs, fences, trees, pavement and other miscellaneous items. Pavement, sidewalks, and driveways damaged outside of the area, purposefully removed, as specified on the plans shall be included within site restoration. Implementation, maintenance, and removal of the traffic control plan and of bypass pumping, as necessary; storm water pollution protection best practices; and trench safety as required per Section 01561. Post-installation television inspection, from manhole to manhole, is required for all new and rehabilitated sanitary sewers. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
