The Town of Ocean Isle Beach proposes to construct a town park on a 1.7-acre tract of land owned by the Town. The parcel is located along East Third Street (Gatha Lane) adjacent to the Ocean Isle Museum parking lot. The park amenities/features will include: a splash pad, a playground, a bocce ball court, a performance stage, a restroom building a walking trail, patios/sidewalks and parking areas. The walking trail, sidewalks, and parking areas will be constructed of permeable pavers. The existing turf recreational field area will be improved with turfgrass sod. Landscaping and site lighting will also be included throughout the park. The adjacent Ocean Isle Museum parking lot will be modified to allow vehicular and pedestrian access between the new parking lot and the Museum parking lot.
