A Construction Manager may be engaged for this Project to serve as an advisor to Owner and to provideassistance in administering the Contract for Construction between Owner and Contractor, according to a separate contract between Owner and Construction Manager. Any changes in construction administration procedures will be clarified at that time. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: New furring walls, New Acoustic Panels, New Ceilings in control room and vocal booth, New acoustic doors, New acoustic window between control room and vocal booth, New interior acoustic window inserts at existing exterior windows, Reinstall existing casework, lighting, sprinkler heads, outlets, switches, etc. at furred walls, Modify HVAC ductwork and registers. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California as a surety, made payable to the District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. The bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder to whom the contract is awarded will execute the Contract Documents and will provide the required payment and performance bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) days after the notification of the award of the contract.
