The proposal is for a study and the design and preparation of construction plans and specifications for construction of the new combined Westside IV& V Pump Station (Water Master Plan Projects W4-4 & W5-8) and the Westside III 2.5 MG Ground Storage Tank (Water Master Plan Project W3-3) to be located in the vicinity of Markum Ranch Road and IH-20. The pump station will provide additional pumping capability of approximately 15-20 MGD to the Westside IV Pressure Plane and provide 5 MGD firm capacity (with extra slots) to the proposed southern portion of the Westside V Pressure Plane. The associated 2.5 MG ground storage tank is required for additional storage in the Westside III Pressure Plane and support the new Westside IV/V Pump Station. The new pump station & ground storage tank will be served by a new 36-inch Westside II Water Main (W3-1 & W3-2) from the Westside Water Treatment Plant and a new 24-inch Westside III Water Main (Ws-5) from the existing 24-inch Westside III Water Main in Chapin School Road. Both water mains are under design. SBE compliance applies at 10 Percent.
