Extent of diesel generator set work is indicated by this specification, associated attachments and is hereby defined to include, but is not limited to, diesel engine, unit mounted radiator, electrical generator, engine starting system including batteries, UPS compatible governor, charger, jacket heater, instrument control panel, annunciator panel, exhaust silencer, digital regulator, start/stop break glass station, generator main circuit breaker (mounted inside generator enclosure) & fire pump controller circuit breaker listed for use with fire pumps (mounted inside an isolated separate enclosure from other breaker(s) / equipment), and accessories for a complete factory tested and operational generator. (Note the maximum dimensions for the generator shall not exceed the available space limits indicated on plans). Includes piping to existing day tank, all fittings, and required accessories and items for properly connecting to existing diesel fuel system. Contractor shall obtain the actual manufacturer dimensions and all related data (including generator conduit stub up locations, etc.) prior to ordering the generator set or related items, and shall verify compatibility with all available accommodations per applicable architectural and engineering plans. Scope includes new manifold (sheet metal) at radiator end, connection at louvers, etc. Provide basis of design generator (Caterpillar). Refer also to separate “Electrical Commissioning” specification. This generator is for installation inside an existing generator room.
