Construction of Rachel Carson College Shower Door Installation project includes in general the replacement of shower curtains with shower doors, the remodel of bathrooms, interior signage, etc. in the Garden Buildings AG, BG, CG & DG see plans and spec for additional information. The scope related to Buildings AL, BL, CL and DL are not part of the scope and will be constructed in a future phase. The work to be done includes all labor, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install all materials and equipment shown on the drawings and described herein and to perform tests described herein, to provide complete and operating systems to the extent specified and shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, material and supplies, except where specifically noted as existing or supplied by The University. General Description of Work: Rachel Carson College Shower Door installation at the University of California Santa Cruz, provides 13,588- square feet of remodel area to replace the shower curtains with shower doors, install interior signage, remodel the bathrooms in the Garden Buildings A, B, C & D. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: Removal of shower curtains. New shower doors. Removal of concrete floor, plumbing, electrical and plumbing to remodel the bathrooms. New concrete floor and floor finish. New electrical, plumbing, bathroom/restrooms accessories as required for the remodel of the bathrooms. Patching of interior gypsum wallboard walls and ceilings. Interior painting. Interior signage. Testing and commissioning of complete installed equipment and systems. Special care shall be given to utility shutdowns of and tie-ins to existing campus utilities. Impact to the campus operations must be minimized. Special care shall be taken with respect to existing grades and the preservation of existing trees. Measures consistent with such considerations will be required during construction.
