A prebid conference is scheduled between staff and interested bidders ( Contact Jules Marchesseault for time of prebid meeting) on January 28, 2020, at Redding Electric Utility, 3611 Avtech Parkway, Redding at which time the project requirements will be reviewed. A field trip over/through the proposed site will be conducted following the meeting.

The Remote Commercial Meter (RCM) Project will commence with a Proof of Concept (POC) that is further sub-divided into “Alpha” and “Beta” phases. The underlying philosophy of the POC is to minimize risk while reaching basic system functionality as early as possible in the project. This approach allows the City to work with the selected vendor to identify and address issues, to test the necessary interfaces with other systems, and to define, develop and test the future state business processes prior to full deployment. Time is of the essence for the Alpha phase due to roll out of rate restructure.360 working days.
