It is the goal of UNCG central IT unit – ITS - to provide to the university and administer a digital signage service offering which seeks to unify the university’s diverse and disparate digital signage practices. The service offering would provide better security, efficiency and sustainability, thus facilitating the increase use of digital signage at UNCG. The service offering will include hardware options and will have networking specifications. At the heart of the service offering however is an enterprise content management system for complex digital signage needs, from simple messaging, to more complex digital signage offerings, such as interactive displays, wayfinding, room scheduling, and real time communications. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
