This project consists of the design and procurement of a playground system including fall zone material, and the installation of fall zone material at the Marion Community Building Park Swamp Fox Fort Playground located at 191 North Main Street, Marion, North Carolina. Work is to include the design and procurement of a play system within the constructed play area boundaries, as well as the installation of commercial grade playground fall zone material. This project will be the final step in the Marion Community Building Park Inclusive playground and ADA retrofit. It is important that the design of the play system include design and equipment that accommodates youth 5 to 12 and accessible to children of all abilities. The funding source for this project is NC Parks PARTF NC Connect Bond and the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust. All playground equipment will be assembled and installed by the City of Marion, installation of the commercial grade fall zone equipment will be installed by the Supplier. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
