This project is being implemented to provide ligature-resistant improvements to various existing elements contained in the Senior Psychiatry Unit (Gero Psych) located in the E-Wing of the UWMC Northwest Campus. The Gero Psych Unit consists of approximately 17,000 GSF divided into two secured sub-wings containing 27 beds and common shared staff and patient care support spaces. The work will include the replacement of all existing doors with new doors and ligature resistant hardware, casework modifications, and ligature-resistant HVAC diffusers, sprinkler heads, and light fixtures.
