The County of Salt Lake is inviting Statements of Qualifications as stage one of a two stage bidding process to provide all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to construct Magna Regional Park. The overall park is approximately 60-acres in size and is located at 4042 South 7200 West in Magna, Utah. Phase I development will develop about 20-acres of the site and will consist of all the applicable utility connections, water, sewer, power, and storm drain system with detention basins, parking lots, pole lighting, multi-purpose athletic field, pavilions, restroom and pump house, destination splash pad, large custom designed playground (destination playground), and landscape areas with an irrigation system, etc. The playground and splash pad area will have custom elements like an embankment slide, rock walls, concrete walls, and custom play elements will be part of the main construction contract. However, most of the play equipment, i.e., climbing structure, slides, swings, zip lines, and safety surfacing material to name a few are to be provided, and installed by Salt Lake County. The anticipated term of the contract is 18 to 24 months. The expected construction start date is in August.
