RFQ - Triangle Water Partnership’s Regional Interconnection Model Project, Durham NC

Durham County

Bid Date: 02/28/2020 at 03:00pm

The TWSP would like to update the Regional Interconnection Model. The update would include: 1. Adding the hydraulic models for the Johnston County, Harnett County, and Pittsboro distribution systems to the Regional Interconnection Model. 2. Updating the Regional Interconnection Model with any new information from the Cary, Apex, Durham, OWASA, Hillsborough, Chatham County, Holly Springs, and Raleigh hydraulic distribution system models. This would involve adding to the Regional Interconnection Model all the new pipes, tanks, pumps, etc. that have been added to each Partner’s model and reallocating demands in the Regional Interconnection Model using the demands from an updated Partner’s model. 3. Updating the water demands for a current scenario (year to be determined) for all the nodes in the Regional Interconnection Model. 4. Model calibration and validation of flows and tank levels near interconnections. 5. Updating the water demands for a future scenario (year to be determined) for all the nodes in the Regional Interconnection Model. 6. Developing boundary conditions (curves showing flow vs HGL), allowing Partners to use their own models to simulate an interconnection. This information could be developed for each interconnection for flow in each direction, for existing conditions and for planned infrastructure improvements with future demands. 7. Determining the sustainable flows available through interconnections for existing and future conditions. 8. Identifying infrastructure improvements that would increase sustainable flows through interconnections. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
