Completion of the Schematic Design was based upon program needs identified in Phase One of the Masterplan. Due to construction cost escalations over the last two years, Cary and USA Baseball staff are currently working with an On-Call Architectural Consultant to complete a schematic plan that agrees with program needs and most importantly, project budget. The selected consultant team shall provide professional design, construction, and cost estimating services for the following Masterplan-Phase One facilities: • New 16,000 sq. ft. Office and Warehouse facility that will serve as USA Baseball Headquarters • New 20,000 sq. ft. Training Facility. This facility will be unconditioned, sprinkled, and covered for year-round practice and to host/support various Cary and USA Baseball events and programs • Renovate existing 2,200 sq. ft. merchandising facility adjacent to parking and the complex main entrance. • Facility designs shall incorporate sustainable practices and products that agree with the project budget and schedule. On-site “grey water” utility is available for design integration.
