The City of East Point, Georgia (hereafter referred to as “the City”), is hereby seeking sealed proposals from qualified consultants for pavement management inspection, condition rating and reporting services in accordance with the specification and information contained herein. The services will also include inventory, condition rating and reporting of the City’s sidewalk infrastructure. All required information shall be included with your proposal. Pavement Inspection and Assessment: The consultant will provide an inventory and assessment of all the streets in the City. A list of streets will be provided to the Consultant by the City. A copy of the previous 2012 Pavement Management Report will also be made available. In 2019, The City also performed a pavement assessment by Roadbotics, Inc which utilized smartphone technology to rank the cities road condition. The results of this assessment will also be made available. All data collection and inspections must be performed by qualified and trained personnel. Information for each segment shall include, but not be limited to: roadway pavement condition index (PCI) score, recommended rehabilitation strategy and estimated cost. The proposed fee for this task shall be based on 166 centerline miles of roadways. The contractor will compare commonly used pavement management systems and make a recommendation for which systems best fit the needs for the City to continually use for pavement management. The contractor shall also train up to three (3) City staff on how they approach pavement evaluations, and how to utilize the recommended software for future in-house pavement evaluations. Specifics regarding the City’s requirements and expectations are detailed in the attached formal solicitation package.
