Project consists of the roof replacement on Building A- Library and Cafeteria (appr. 14,255 sq.ft). Contractors are responsible for measuring square footage for accurate bidding. Contractor must provide all labor, materials, taxes, insurance, equipment, permits and supervision to provide the following scope of work: 1) Demo existing EPDM roof system down to the existing insulation. Replace any deteriorated insulation with like type and thickness at unit rate after consultation and approval by Owner. Remove and dispose of any work-related debris in the local County landfill. 2) Mechanically attach a ½” high density polyisocyanurate insulation board or gypsum board over the existing insulation and into the existing steel deck. 3) Install a mechanically attached 60-mil TPO membrane roof as per Manufacturer’s details and instructions per building specific wind uplift calculations and to meet NC Building Code requirements. 4) Flash all perimeters and penetrations as per Manufacturer’s details and instructions. Membrane to be installed up and over parapet wall. 5) Add new treated wood nailers as needed to match new insulation thickness at roof edges. 6) Fabricate and install new counter-flashing and gravelstop from 24-gauge pre-finished steel. Standard colors only. 7) Provide and install walkpads at service sides of rooftop units and at roof access points. 8) Test existing roof drains for proper drainage before roof demo begins and test again upon completion to ensure no debris is clogging the lines. 9) Replace damaged or missing drain components. Replace existing plastic drain domes with new cast iron domes. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
