The City of San Jose’s sanitary sewer system consists of approximately 2,030 miles of sewer mains ranging between 6-inches and 90-inches in diameter with most sewer mains being 12 inches or less.The City intends to clean and assess the existing sanitary sewer system in the several areas shown in Appendix M, “Project Areas.” The total length of the pipe lines to be cleaned and inspected in this area measures approximately 675,278 feet, with diameters ranging from 6” to 10”. Some pipelines may be located in easements; therefore, additional coordination with the property owners or tenants may be required.Typical work shall include, but not limited to, the following: Pipeline Cleaning , Documenting the type, severity and total volume of material removed from each sewer line segment on a Sewer Cleaning Log (see Appendix J) Capturing, Removal, Temporary Storage, Transporting, and Disposal of debris removed from the pipelines Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Inspection per NASSCO’s PACP , Pipeline Condition Observation and Coding per NASSCO’s PACP , Invert to Rim Measurements on a Sewer Cleaning Log (see Appendix J) , Traffic Control , Coordination with property owners when performing work in easements , Temporary Sanitary Sewer Diversion , Providing data and written reports and attending coordination monthly meetings Implementing the Quality Control Program (see Appendix H). Locating and Raising Existing Buried Manholes and Covers to Grade, Taking photos of selected manholes Q&A due by 02/20/20 at 5PM. Prevailing wages. Bonds required.
