The major project scope items include engineering, design, procurement, delivery, and installation and commissioning of a new Control House, an IEC 61850 based, integrated Substation Protection, Automation and Control system, and an emergency Diesel Generator. Additionally, the following items are also included in the Contractor’s scope: Digging and construction work at the substation for cable trenching, footings and foundations; Replacement /Installation of four 115KV circuit breakers (new circuit breakers to be provided by the Authority); Replacement of existing Disconnect Switches; Development of new operating, maintenance and test procedures for the new IEC 61850 Digital Substation architecture. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
