The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major items: Demolition including storm drain pipe system & structures. Remove & replace wooden & chainlink fences including gates and protect pool deck. Adjustment of MH tops. Fill existing 36” CMP pipe with flowable fill. Installation of new HDPE storm drain pipes & precast structures, headwalls, and associated appurtenances as per the dimensions and as shown on the plans, and as stipulated in the contract bid specifications. All work shall comply with all Federal, State, and local requirements and specifications. The latest GDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction of the Georgia Department of Transportation shall govern the construction of this project. Construction to be limited to areas indicated on the drawing and as designated by the Engineer or inside existing easements. Off-site areas or areas outside the easements shall only be encroached by written permission or a signed Right-of-way entry from the property owner. This provision applies to both personal and equipment. All areas disturbed or damaged by the contractor outside the construction easement shall be repaired by the contractor at their own expense. A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
