The project consists of replacement of non-functional isolation and control valves on the discharge side of the chlorine contact and equalization basins with new sluice gates with electric actuators on the interior of the basin. This includes demolition and removal of piping, including the 18-inch and 24-inch assemblies. Remove existing grating. Install new upper level grating and handrail to match existing. Replace drain valves. Install associated electrical and controls, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
