The scope of the project: Reconstruction of South Hausman Road from approximately 400 feet south of Braefield to Paloma Creek. The project is approx 0.6 miles (3,170-foot) long, starting 400 feet south of Braefield and ending at Paloma Creek. Work of the Contract is generally described as the replacement of three low water crossings on South Hausman Road at French Creek, French Creek Tributary 1, and Unnamed Tributary 1 with bridge or bridge-class structures passing the 100-year design storm, including full roadway reconstruction, grading, and utility construction. The proposed roadway is classified as a Local Type B and will include a 40-foot wide pavement section within a 60-foot wide ROW (proposed), concrete curb, and gutter, and 6-foot sidewalks on each side. The project will also include the design of a pre-stressed concrete slab beam bridge, capable of withstanding the 1% ultimate conditions storm, on South Hausman Road at French Creek, with a one-foot free board. The proposed bridge and culvert structures will be designed to the ultimate configuration of approximately 56 feet wide to accommodate the 40 foot wide pavement section, curb & gutter, and proposed sidewalks. The roadway will be surfaced with HMAC overlay. Questions due by May 15th at 4:00 PM. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
