The CITY intends to replace approximately 20,500 LF of water mains, ranging in diameter from 4-inch to 18-inch, and associated appurtenances along US 41 between 14th Street and University Parkway and along portions of 16th Street and 47th Street. Services contemplated under this solicitation include professional land surveying and sub-surface utility exploration (SUE) to facilitate the design of the proposed water main improvements. The survey and SUE work will be within existing road rights-of-way and/or easements (owned by the Florida Department of Transportation or Sarasota County or the City of Sarasota or other utilities) and will extend 15 ft. outside of each side of the right-of-way and/or easement. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
