The scope of work will include the maintenance, operations, survival, quality, and condition of awarded Facility Areas and their associated components, unless specifically excluded. The maintenance consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, means of transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform landscape maintenance services. The work may include but is not limited to landscape ground maintenance such as: turf area maintenance including mowing, line trimming, edging, aerating, de-thatching, litter and debris removal, fertilizer and lime application; tree, shrub, ground cover and perennial maintenance such as pruning and selective removal, weed and exotic pest plant removal, insect/disease control, herbicide application (pre and post emergence), watering, and mulching; hardscape and drainage maintenance such as pressure washing, swale and inadequate drainage inspection, maintenance and minor repair; soil tests, site clean-up, and minor planting operations such as: twice yearly installation of annual bedding plants, perennial bed preparation and planting, and a limited number of trees and shrubs. The landscape maintenance activities will also include the regular observation and maintenance of awarded landscape areas for insect or other plant pest infestations, minor erosion, inadequate drainage, sight and sign visibility problems, and unsatisfactory plantings that need removal.
